Petrobras settles air pollution suit against Pasadena refinery

HOUSTON – Environment Texas and Sierra Club announced today that they have filed a proposed consent decree in federal court to settle their citizen enforcement lawsuit against Pasadena Refining System, Inc. PRSI is owned by Petrobras (Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.), the state-controlled oil company of Brazil.

New report tallies Texas-sized clean energy

Over the past decade, Texas has increased its solar power production by a whopping 38,510 percent and its wind power production by 410 percent, according to a new report released today by Environment Texas Research & Policy Center. The report’s findings were presented at a press conference at La Loma Community Solar Farm in Austin attended by Mayor Steve Adler and other officials.
